"Douglas Avenue was called “Elgin’s Fashionable Avenue” by a local newspaper in 1884 and it was home to many of the city’s leading citizens."
Homes On The Tour
“Saw people touring a house that had previously owned it from 1970s to 1990s. Fun to see them take a stroll down memory lane and hear how they took the house forward and to see how subsequent owners built upon their work. Great community event”2016 Tour Attendee
“We chose to buy a house in Elgin because this house tour showed us what beautiful, unique, and affordable homes are here. Many thanks to the volunteers who put this event on, and the homeowners who open their doors to hundreds of strangers, all in the interest of promoting Elgin as a hidden gem of the Chicago suburbs!”2016 Tour Attendee
“The beauty and craftsmanship of these houses in Elgin are second to none”2017 Tour Attendee
